Alvelac™ is now officially available in Taiwan!The innovative green solution product underwent a soft launching at the biggest local dental exhibition in Taiwan.

eMind Biotech M.R. Co. Ltd, our distribution partner in Taiwan participated at the Association For Dental Sciences Of The Republic Of China (ADS-ROC) Annual Meeting & Exhibition. The said event comprises of 2011 first 18th Member Meeting and 34th Academic Seminar. The event was held from 26 to 28 August 2011.

Donned in batik shirts and sarong kabaya and armed with iPad, eMind’s sales and marketing team went around in pairs to all corners of the exhibition hall to promote Alvelac™ and create awareness. Dentists, who immediately associated the attire to the quality of Singapore brand, were ready to give their ears to the sales presentation and learn more on Socket Preservation and the benefits of using Alvelac™. The outstanding booth enhancement also pulled-in many curious visitors who wanted to find out more.

 The exhibition was held at Taichung Medical University and two of the country’s well-known dentists gave presentations on Alvelac™. Dr Chang Wei Jen, an Assistant Professor at Taipei Medical University (TMU) School of Dentistry and an Attending Doctor at TMU Shuang Ho Hospital Department of Dentistry, presented on ‘Hard Tissue Surrounding Dental Implant—Socket Preservation Vs Immediate Implant’ and Dr Liu Nanyou, Chairman of Taiwan Association of Oral Healthcare Management and Director of Evergreen Dental Clinics presented on ‘PLGA Application Of Synthetic Scaffold In GBR’. The two presentations received excellent response and generated numerous enquiries at eMind’s booth.

MPM Wholesale Supplies, our business partner in the UK, participated in The Dentistry Show 2011.  The exhibition was held at the NEC Birmingham on 4^th and 5^th March 2011.   

Dr Nazrul, BSI’s Senior Consultant Dentist and Mr Eddie Liew, CEO of BSI were at the Dentistry Show to lend support to the MPM team during the action packed two days. The team received an encouraging flow of visitors and also handled a good number of commercial and clinical enquiries on Alvelac. Many visitors were convinced of socket preservation as a necessary treatment and expressed good interest in trying Alvelac.

Following the Birmingham show, the team headed to Exeter, where a focus group talk was held for a select group of dentists. During the first half of the session, Dr Nazrul presented on the use of Alvelac as a bio-degradable scaffold for alveolus reconstruction after tooth extraction and the benefits that a growing number of patients have been receiving since the innovative product was introduced.  

Dr Teodor Murgelas continued the talk with a presentation of case studies done in the United Kingdom. The studies, based on data that had been collected from various clinics for a period of 6 months, evidently showed natural bone healing and shorter healing time when Alvelac was used to preserve tooth sockets. The focus group talk ended with a Q&A session where both Dr Nazrul and Dr Murgelas fielded numerous questions from the audience and shared further interesting facts on Alvelac.
